Type Corner Code of Conduct

Type Corner's mission is to make typology accessible to everyone. In order to stay in line with our mission, we have put in place the following rules:

    •    Be kind, especially to new members. We want Type Corner to be a welcoming place for everyone. Type Corner is not the place for hate speech, intuitive bias, or other serious type-centric bullying. Note that jokes and memes about the types are allowed on Type Corner because we're not overly strict. (Penalty for infraction: Warning typically, permanent ban for reposting a removed post)

    •    Keep discussions relevant. Whenever you post, please make sure you're posting in the correct group. Additionally, when you comment on a post, don't try to change the topic of the original post. Note that this rule only applies to groups focused on a specific topic. (Penalty for infraction: Redirection to the correct place usually, warning for frequent infractions)

    •    Don't use Type Corner if you don't believe in typology. Type Corner is meant for people who either are passionate about typology or want to learn more about it. Just like you wouldn't go to a bakery to try to get the baker to stop making such sugary treats, please refrain from using Type Corner to try to turn people against MBTI, Enneagram, or any other typology system used here. (Penalty for infraction: Permanent ban)

    •    Respect others' types. Type Corner believes any combination of MBTI and Enneagram types is possible. Of course you are allowed to disagree with this claim, but that is not an excuse to tell an innocent member that they are mistyped. Exceptions apply, such as if a member's listed core Enneagram type and wing are not adjacent, but even in these cases, you should be courteous when telling the other member. (Penalty for infraction: Warning usually, temporary ban for frequent infractions)

    •    Don't spread misinformation about typology. Or anything. Aside from being a safe have for existing members of the typology community, Type Corner also aims to teach those who are new to the community about the various typology systems. Please refrain from posting misinformation about typology. While we're at it, you also shouldn't use Type Corner to fuel other outlandish claims, such as the "fact" that video games cause violence. Not cool, Grandma. (Penalty for infraction: Warning usually, temporary or permanent ban for frequent infractions)

    •    Don't create duplicate groups. Having multiple groups with the same topic hurts the growth of both the original group and the duplicate group. When creating a group, please check to see if the group you need already exists on Type Corner. Note that this rule only applies to groups with a typology-specific topic, not general chat groups. (Penalty for infraction: Owner of the original group is alerted and decides the fate of the duplicate group)

    •    Follow individual group rules. Aside from the Type Corner Code of Conduct, group owners can make their own rules for their groups. Please respect the rules of any groups you are in, unless they contradict the Type Corner Code of Conduct, in which case the Type Corner Code of Conduct reigns supreme and the group owner will be asked to change the contradicting rules. Note that if you break a rule that contradicts the Type Corner Code of Conduct, the owner will protect you from any related punishments. (Penalty for infraction: Group owner decides)

Let's narrow down our MBTI types!

Using the animal type system, you can figure out your MBTI type! Here are some examples:

  • If you're a Panda: If you relate more to the Elephant, you're an INFJ. If you relate more to the Border Collie, you're an INTJ.

  • If you're an Elephant: If you relate more to the Beaver, you're an ESFJ. If you relate more to the Panda, you're an ENFJ.

  • If you're a Border Collie: If you relate more to the Beaver, you're an ESTJ. If you relate more to the Panda, you're an ENTJ.
